Registration
You can register:
- Online: uusi.opistopalvelut.fi/joensuu

- At the customer service desk: Opistotalo, Papinkatu 3, Joensuu
Phone service and customer service desk are open from Monday to Thursday, 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM.
- Please register at least 7 days before the course starts.
- Registration is binding. If you have unpaid course fees, you cannot register for new courses.
- The course will only start if there are enough enrollments. There must be at least 6–9 participants one week prior to the starting date. Therefore, you should register at least a week before the course begins to ensure it starts.
- You will receive a reminder email a few days before the course begins.
- If the course is full, you can register on the waiting list. Those on the waiting list will be notified in case they can join the course or if a new similar course is organized.

Discounts
- Unemployment discount: 20 € off two payments per semester.
- Disability sports card: 10 € off one sports course fee per semester.
- OPSET courses: Courses have a pre-discounted price of 5 €.
- City of Joensuu employees: 50% discount on sports and dance course fees.
- Finnish war veterans: Free of charge.
Please ask for the discount at customer service before the course starts.
Cancellation Policy
- You can cancel your registration free of charge up to 7 days before the course starts by calling customer service or online.
- After the free cancellation period, you can only cancel due to long-term illness or a permanent work obstacle. For cancellation, you will need a medical certificate or an employer’s statement. A handling fee of 15 € and the course sessions up until the cancellation date will be charged for the cancellation.
- If the course is not cancelled according to the cancellation policy, the customer is obliged to pay the full course fee.
- If the course level does not suit you, you can switch to another course of the same subject. You can choose another course by contacting our customer service.
Payment
- The course fee can be paid online, via e‑invoice, paper invoice, or employee benefits (ePassi, SmartumPay, Edenred card).
- Online payment can be made during registration or later by using a payment link sent to your email.
- If you have not paid the course fee online or via the payment link, we will send you an invoice after the course has started.
- We recommend using e‑invoice.
- If you want to pay in cash, by card or employee benefit, you can make the payment at Carelicum. Note that you must have the paper invoice with you.
- If you have unpaid course fees, you cannot register for new courses.
